Introduction

Charles Garnett has been riding and wrenching on Harley-Davidson motorcycles for nearly 13 years. In 2018, he turned that passion into T-Bonz Motorcycle Repair, running it out of a small shop behind his house in Forest, Virginia. What started as a side venture filled a real gap: the area had no independent shop with the specialized knowledge and tooling to properly service HD bikes. Demand grew steadily. By March 2025, it had grown enough that Garnett walked away from a 15-year corporate career to go full-time. On June 2nd, 2025, T-Bonz opened its storefront doors.

It’s a one-man operation by design. Garnett handles every job himself, from the first phone call to the final test ride. That’s the business model, and customers love it. But running a solo shop means there’s no service advisor to hand paperwork to, no office manager to chase invoices, and no technician portal to delegate job updates. When you’re the mechanic, the service writer, the parts guy, and the accountant all at once, the back office either works or it doesn’t.

The Challenge

With 8 to 10 bikes in the shop at any given time, tracking workflow without a system was a constant risk. Jobs could slip. Customers were expecting personal, attentive service, which is exactly what T-Bonz promises, and that promise gets hard to keep when you’re buried in paperwork.

Garnett needed to track every bike’s status in real time, monitor inventory, manage scheduling, and stay on top of billing, all without adding headcount. He also wanted visibility into his numbers: which services were driving revenue, how the business was growing month over month, and where the money was actually going. Before Torque360, that kind of clarity wasn’t something he had time to build.

Why Torque360 Works for T-Bonz

Garnett did his homework. He searched for top-rated repair shop software, reviewed his options, and took demos with a couple of platforms. Torque360 was the one that had what he actually needed, not just a long feature list, but the right combination for a one-man shop:

Every bike in the shop has a status. Garnett knows exactly what’s in, what’s next, and what’s going out, without a whiteboard or sticky notes.

Same-day payment collection means cash flow matches the work, not the week. Customers get a clean digital payment experience that matches the professionalism of the shop.

8+ hours of weekly admin prevented. Financials are current, accurate, and reconciled automatically.

Month-over-month visibility into revenue, service mix, and growth, the management layer that a growing shop needs and a solo operator rarely has time to build.

One platform. One price. No bolt-on fees for the features that actually matter.

Torque360 didn’t just organize T-Bonz. It changed how Garnett runs the business.

The QuickBooks Online sync alone saves him more than eight hours every week. Time that was previously lost to manual reconciliation and double-entry bookkeeping. Invoicing shifted from an end-of-week batch process to same-day with TorquePay, which means faster cash flow and a smoother payment experience for customers.

But the bigger shift is visibility. Garnett can now see his numbers month over month: which services generate the most revenue, where the business is growing, and what’s coming in on the schedule. That’s the kind of operational intelligence a one-man shop simply can’t build manually while also doing the work.
